Environmental Workers Wanted at Verdis in Älvsjö

About the Job

Verdis is responsible for waste collection in parts of central Stockholm, based at our depot in Älvsjö. We need to strengthen the department with positive and goal-oriented environmental workers who can work extra as needed, for example, when regular staff are absent or during peak times. We are looking for both drivers with a C license and YKB as well as helpers who accompany our skilled drivers to collect waste. There is an opportunity for full-time work during the summer.

As an environmental worker, you play a key role at Verdis. You are our face to the public and become one of our everyday heroes who helps keep Stockholm clean. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that the sanitation assignments are carried out in accordance with the company's routines and our client's requirements. You report to the local management.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Collection and transport of waste using rear-loading collection vehicles
• Handling vehicle computers and RFID equipment
• Reporting deviations
• Daily maintenance/check of vehicles and equipment, including washing as needed
• Submitting vehicles to the workshop as needed

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a C driver's license with the corresponding YKB, or someone who wants to work as a helper collecting waste with a driver
• Is proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you have:

• Previous experience in similar work
• Driven rear-loaders before
• Knowledge of digital deviation management
• Familiarity with precision driving

This position is suitable for you if you have good physical fitness and enjoy a dynamic job in a fast-paced environment. You appreciate being outdoors and have no problem working in all weather conditions. As a person, you are service-oriented with good collaboration skills and have a solution-oriented approach. We also believe you are responsible and take pride in performing your work excellently.

Additional Information

Start: By agreement (as soon as possible)
Scope: As needed, with the possibility of full-time during the summer
Working hours: Our operations run Monday to Friday, daytime approximately 06:00-15:00, including public holidays and evenings
Location: The operations unit is located in Älvsjö, southern Stockholm.
